During the autumn of 2025 I spent some time at BOARC – (Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre) in Liverpool and the dissection room of Summerhall Arts in Edinburgh. Researching and workshopping what Wayfinder might be and how it might progress.

This was a wonderfully productive time gathering ideas amongst the stars and scars of the past. Allowing the heritage and mood of the buildings and their surroundings to inform the work. There was one point in the dissection lab where I lay on a slab and wondered what it would be like to be one of the bodies that had been brought in, The space immediately made it clear it did not welcome this kind of intervention so I immediately stopped and apologised to the space.

I’m currently putting together a short film from my time with these two spaces as I look for ways of moving the project forward and organisations to work with one it. I’m intending to develop Wayfinder over a 5 year period with delivery of final results in 2030.
